Please be aware that your next fuel tax credit is going to be significantly less then prior BASs.

From 1 April to 30 June 2026, fuel tax credit rates have changed due to a 32 cents per litre (cpl) reduction in fuel excise and a reduction of the heavy vehicle road user charge to zero. Businesses must use the new rates for fuel acquired on or after 1 April 2026 when preparing their April monthly Business Activity Statement (BAS).
Key Changes from 1 April 2026:
Reduced Rates: The temporary reduction in fuel excise reduces the credit amount for most fuels to 20.6 cents per litre from 52.6.
Heavy Vehicles: The heavy vehicle road user charge is reduced to zero, meaning a full credit of 20.6 cpl is available for fuel used in heavy vehicles on public roads.
Support: The ATO has implemented a temporary fuel response payment plan to support businesses with high fuel costs, which we can assist you in applying for should your BAS no longer be a refund.
